Five years before concluding his professional career in this sector, Mr. Dingman founded Dan Dingman-Music in 2013. Fully embracing his musical talents as a musician, his performances have graced numerous venues, including wineries, brewpubs and assisted living facilities. He also serves as a revered national anthem singer for sports teams in Portland, Oregon, having performed for the Portland Trail Blazers and other local teams. Mr. Dingman’s dedication to music has been further exemplified through his role as a music leader at his local Catholic church.
Mr. Dingman’s journey into the world of music began at the tender age of seven when he started taking music lessons. Since that time, his most significant works have included “The Sounds of Dan Dingman,” showcasing his musical prowess and dedication to his craft.
Mr. Dingman’s successful career included holding various roles, beginning in 1987 as a senior technician at Spectra Technology. Over the next decade, he worked for companies like Columbia Analytica Services as an analytical chemist, Lion Industries as a western laboratory manager and Vinings Industries as a laboratory manager. Mr. Dingman was affiliated with Buckman Laboratories International from 1997 to 2016, first as a senior development specialist and later as an account manager. Additionally, he worked for KapStone Paper and Packing Corporation between 2016 and 23018 as a quality systems manager before his tenure at WestRock Company.
Mr. Dingman’s academic background includes an Associate of Applied Science from Lower Columbia College, obtained in 1984, and a Bachelor of Science in physics, magna cum laude, from Western Washington University, earned in 1986, where he was named Outstanding Graduate of the Year. These academic achievements laid a strong foundation for his analytical skills, which he applied throughout his career in the paper industry.
Active in the musical community, Mr. Dingman is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is deeply involved in civic activities. Most notably, he volunteers at multiple charity events and donates to Hair We Share in New York.
In light of his musical endeavors, Mr. Dingman was named Best of the Best Musicians by Reflector Newspaper in 2025 and 2026. He attributes much of his success and accomplishments to the unwavering support of his wife. He also considers his musical talent a divine gift that allows him to bring joy and inspiration to others.
