Ms. Masini has dedicated herself to the entertainment field, specializing in relationship advice and film and television. She is currently the founder of AiFi-American Initiative for Film LLC, a role she has held since 2019, and Ask April, where she has served since 2006. She has also been the president and chief executive officer of Masini Enterprises, Inc. since 2001, a corporate relationship expert at TD Bank from 2016 to 2017, and president of AI Masini Productions from 1992 to 2002. 

Additionally, in 1998, Ms. Masini worked as an event coordinator and co-chair for the Miss Universe pageant and a contest creator for Share Aloha with the World. She also holds memberships with various organizations related to her areas of expertise, including the American Film Institute, the Producers Guild of America, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and the Screen Actors Guild.  

Ms. Masini began her career as a model and actress before transitioning to behind-the-scenes roles. As president of Al Masini Productions, she raised tens of millions of dollars to finance internationally recognized TV and feature film productions, including “Baywatch,” “Pacific Blue,” and the Miss Universe Pageant. She has also established herself as a renowned relationship advice expert. The anonymous forum, Ask April, has grown to over 27,500 questions asked by nearly a quarter-million registered members and answered personally by April for men and women from all countries and all sexual orientations. Members can ask questions from “How do I ask someone out?” to “What can I do to save my relationship?” She has also written several books in this arena, including “Think & Date Like a Man: (Be the Woman Who Gets the Man She Wants and Keeps Him!),” and “Date Out of Your League.” 

During her time with Masini Enterprises, Inc., Ms. Masini financed the feature film “Blue Crush” with tax incentives from Hawaii and an agreement with Universal Studios that they would promote the island in return. Additionally, she brought the show “Baywatch” from California to Hawaii, which led to the creation of “Baywatch Hawaii.” In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored with the Maile Award in 1998, the Masini Volunteer of the Year Award by the City and County of Honolulu in 1998, and the state of Hawaii established Masini Day due to her tireless efforts in promoting the island-state. 

Ms. Masini was introduced to the industry by her former husband, a legend in the television and film industry. She enjoys making an impact and taking part in initiatives and projects that make a positive impact. She takes great pride in organizing a children’s contest for Miss Universe, the results of which are still prominently displayed in airports across the state of Hawaii. In the coming years, she hopes to continue making positive impacts and making the world a better place.
