With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Peterson has excelled at the helm of BRASE Images since 2020, where she expertly handles computer work, coordinates with clients and manages extensive client workflows. With her stark work making an impact on the metropolitan areas of South Dakota, her role as co-founder also involves editing photos and videos, ensuring that each project meets the high standards she has set for her business and herself. Her expertise in photography, videography and video storytelling has earned her a reputation for excellence in capturing life’s most precious moments. Notably, Ms. Peterson is proud of preserving personal stories through her work, such as capturing a client’s grandfather’s last photograph, which remains a highlight and significantly emotional moment in her burgeoning career.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Peterson found success as a salon manager at Year Round Brown Tanning Salons from 2022 to 2023. She also served as an assistant manager at the aformentioned company from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, she contributed her skills as a marketing team member and photographer at The Mason Jar Boutique. Additionally, she gained valuable experience as a sales associate with Orangetheory Fitness in 2020 and worked with Washington Pavilion Management Inc., further honing her versatile skill set.
Ms. Peterson’s academic journey began with a high school diploma from ThunderRidge High School in 2016. She subsequently pursued a formal higher education at the University of Sioux Falls, initially obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management in 2020. She ultimately concluded her studies at the University of Sioux Falls in 2022, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership. Her educational foundation has been instrumental in her professional success, providing her with a wealth of practical knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her field.
Ms. Peterson’s upbringing on a cattle ranch under the guidance of her grandmother instilled in her a strong work ethic and resilience. These qualities were further developed through her athletic experiences as team captain of her collegiate soccer team, during which time she earned first team all-conference academic honors. This commitment to consistently bettering herself and striving for greatness has been pivotal in shaping her unshakeable approach to both business and life.
Beyond her primary endeavors, Ms. Peterson is actively involved in civic organizations, volunteering and serving as a board member for youth wrestling. Her commitment to community service reflects her dedication to making a positive impact beyond her career.
In her personal life, Ms. Peterson enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and snowboarding. She also finds creative expression through pottery making. As a parent to one wonderful son, she emphasizes the importance of balancing her family life with her professional commitments.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Peterson aims to expand BRASE Images by collaborating with larger brands and documenting more stories. Her vision includes growing the business while maintaining partnerships with individuals who share her values and passion for storytelling through visual media. Likewise, Ms. Peterson hopes to expand her influence beyond her photographic work, having recently participated on several podcasts focusing on marketing and branding.
