Jonathan Allentoff, Founder and Manager at Allentoff Music (ASCAP), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of musical performance.
Mr. Allentoff grew up going to orchestra concerts and started conducting recordings at age three, though it was not until middle school when he decided to pursue music as a career. His parents are both musicians and he completed several masterclasses before earning a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary arts for children from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 2014. He completed additional study and graduated with a Master of Arts in liberal studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2019. Mr. Allentoff is a commissioned music arranger for the National & International Symphony Orchestras in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Knoxville, Tennessee, as well as in Vermont. He is also an arranger and multimedia composer and conductor in Los Angeles, California, and at Allentoff Music in Pittsford, New York.
An accomplished composer, conductor, educator, and performer, Mr. Allentoff contributes in various conducting and performance roles to the NYSSMA Summer Conference Orchestra, the GPAS Greece Community Orchestra, Brighton Symphony Orchestra, the Temple Beth El Orchestra, and numerous national conferences and regional events. He has done extensive research on film score and television manuscripts for restorations at the Warner Bros. Archives, the University of Southern California Cinematic Arts Library, and the Syracuse University Bird Library. A member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Mr. Allentoff has received the Dr. Deborah C. Hecht Award for Outstanding MA Thesis, the Dawn and Jacques Lipson, MD Award in Performing Arts, and the Donald and Gloria Huot Excellence in Leadership Award, among many other accolades. Looking toward the future, Mr. Allentoff would like to maintain his interdisciplinary career and continue to have the privilege of sharing his love of music with others.
