Beyond his work at TISCO Inc., in 2022, Mr. Covino launched Threaded Needle Art with Heart, where he continues demonstrating excellence as a prominent business owner. At Threaded Needle, he specializes in creating custom wood creations, ranging from live edge functional pieces like end tables and coffee tables to custom shelving, charcuterie boards and other items. Mr. Covino’s specialty store also makes custom Christmas stockings, handbags, travel jewelry bags and other similar items.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Covino enjoyed a lengthy career in engineering. He retired from General Electric in 2022 after serving as an asset management industry principal from 2019 to 2022. His tenure at Baker Hughes Company GE Digital between 2017 and 2019 as a global full-stream APM & RCM integrated solutions sales SME was also influential. Earlier, Mr. Covino excelled as an APM integrated solutions pre-sales consultant in reliability and APM consulting SME at GE Oil and Gas Digital from 2014 to 2017, after initially serving as a global projects sales leader of power generation for the organization between 2011 and 2014.
Mr. Covino’s career in this sector dates back to 1995 when he first joined Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business, where he worked as a corporate accounts manager and North American services manager. His efforts in transitioning Bently Nevada from a product services model to a customer-focused services model were instrumental in establishing the company as a global business leader.
Mr. Covino’s educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science in electrical engineering from the State University of New York in Erie in 1979. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he has been actively involved with industry-related organizations such as the National Association of Technologists and the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.
