Title: Founder and Producer
Company: Verge Studios
Location: Bothell, Washington, United States
George Varghese, Founder and Producer at Verge Studios, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements and leadership in Media and Entertainment.
Mr. Varghese does not just create music—he builds spaces where stories, sound, and culture converge. An artist, producer, and creative leader, he has carved out a career defined by emotional depth, technical fluency, and a deep commitment to empowering other artists. His career reflects a rare balance of artistic depth and technical mastery, earning him recognition as a Top Artist within the global creative community.
Born in Bangalore, India, and now based in Seattle, Washington, Mr. Varghese first made his mark as a guitarist with a distinctive instrumental rock voice that balances precision with feeling. His work speaks across borders, blending melody and texture in ways that resonate as much emotionally as they do technically.
That same sensibility led Mr. Varghese to build Verge Studios in 2014. What began as a personal vision quickly grew into a creative hub for independent artists seeking access to professional-quality audio and video production. With an artist-first philosophy at its core, Verge Studios has supported nearly 400 artists, helping many reach defining moments in their careers from performances at notable venues to video and recording deals with established labels, as well as Grammy-recognized projects.
In 2023, Mr. Varghese expanded that vision with the launch of Spotlight Studio, an intimate performance and production space designed to capture live moments with cinematic quality. The venue has become a catalyst for artists ready to step out from behind closed doors, offering them a platform to share their work more broadly and connect with new audiences and industry opportunities.
Mr. Varghese’s creative range spans music production, audio engineering, videography and large-scale audiovisual production. His role as a featured artist on the Grammy-nominated album “Pangea” in 2022 reflects his ability to move seamlessly between artistic expression and high-level production work.
Before committing fully to the arts, Mr. Varghese spent over two decades in the technology world, including senior roles at Microsoft and innovative startups such as Placed. That background continues to shape his approach today, allowing him to merge creative intuition with structure, scalability, and technical rigor—an uncommon combination in the music industry.
Music, however, has always been the constant for Mr. Varghese. A lifelong guitarist, he performed widely across India before relocating to the United States. As musical trends shifted, he turned his focus toward recording and production, sharpening his skills through hands-on experimentation and an internship at Seattle’s renowned Robert Lang Studio, where artists like Pearl Jam and Nirvana have recorded. Those formative experiences informed his mission to build inclusive, artist-centered creative spaces.
Mr. Varghese’s work has earned wide recognition, including honors from the Seattle Award Program, The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Global Music Awards, Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Akademia Music Awards, and the Saregama Band Special Award—India’s equivalent of America’s Got Talent. The latter remains especially meaningful, marking a moment when his band was featured on national television in India.
More recently, Mr. Varghese has become a key creative presence behind major cultural productions and high-profile events. His work includes large-scale festivals such as the Ganesha Festival, which draws over 50,000 attendees, as well as prestigious U.S. Indian Consulate productions celebrating Indian heritage. Broadcast across multiple news platforms, these projects serve as cultural bridges—connecting communities in the U.S. with the spirit of India.
Mr. Varghese has also collaborated with Grammy-winning artists including Ricky Kej and Wouter Kellerman, contributing as both a musician and videographer on projects with global reach. A member of the Recording Academy since 2016, he has served on its Producers and Engineers Board since 2020 and remains actively engaged in initiatives that support the arts.
Grounded by family and friends, inspired by his mother’s musical talent, and driven by a lifelong love of music, Mr. Varghese continues to evolve. Looking ahead, he plans to expand into a larger live venues while returning to the stage himself—bringing his own music back into focus as he continues to champion the creative journeys of others.
