Title: Professional Artist and Equestrian
Location: Sarasota, Florida, United States

Ermes Zamperla, professional artist and equestrian, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the performing arts.

With nearly two decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Zamperla is a seventh generation circus bareback horse rider. For many years, he has served as a preeminent rider and performative artist in his community in Sarasota, Florida, performing acrobatic stunts and equestrian trick riding for countless audiences throughout his career. Originally from Italy, his family is one of the few around the world that maintains this time-honored, artistic tradition, and he is proud to carry on its legacy to this day. Specializing in circus bareback riding and Cossack riding—two unique forms of trick riding—Mr. Zamperla can often be seen riding Murdock, his 16-year-old American Quarter Horse cross.

Mr. Zamperla has offered his talents for numerous circus acts, including the Tarzan Zerbini Circus and the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. He notably performed with the latter company in 2011 and 2015 alongside his brothers. Additionally, he operated as a stuntman and horse wrangler for AMC Network Entertainment LLC’s hit series, “The Walking Dead.” Mr. Zamperla also dedicates himself to civic advocacy, regularly volunteering his time to teach children in his community how to ride horses. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he was featured in a glowing article from SRQ Media in March 2022. In the near future, Mr. Zamperla hopes to see trick riding become a more widely recognized and respected sport.
